My son has Angelman Syndrome and is severely developmentally delayed in all areas, as well as sleep issues. He has significant sensory issues that impair his ability to cope with all the therapy that he undergoes. We’re hoping a mosaic weighted blanket will help calm him down when sitting and help him feel secure while sleeping. Thanks for this giveaway!

  5. Amy says:

The blankets look like they are made with such great quality and care.

  6. Margie Hudson says:

My son stacks several blankets on his bed every night. Then climbs under all the blankets. It would be great to have a weighted blanket for him to use instead of him tying to use every blanket in the house.

  7. Jan Christensen says:

My grandson will be 3 the end of this month. He is Autistic, and has to take 3 blankets and many toys to bed with him. I think that a weighted blanket would give him the comfort that he needs to feel, to be able to fall asleep at night.

it would honestly be a toss up between my adhd/anxiety disorder/dyslexic daughter and depressed/anixety ridden/stressed out/restless legs and body husband. they both could benefit from having one.

My 8 year old son has an anxiety disorder and SPD. He sleeps with me every night and digs his feet into my back because he is looking for that proprioceptive input. Please help us start sleeping through the night peacefully-for him and myself!

Always looking for variety of sensory/weighted products to use with my kiddos at work.

  18. Oh, how I’d love a weighted blanket for use in my preschool class. We have one student in particular who, though not officially diagnosed with anything, would very likely benefit from a weighted blanket at naptime. Thanks!

  19. Kristen Reynolds says:

I am a pediatric occupational therapist and work with children every day who benefit from the use of weighted items. I also have a couple of friends with kids who have sensory issues and have a very difficult time getting to sleep. I would love to share one of your blankets with them.

I think the blanket would help my daughter calm down to sleep.

  21. Dawn DuBois says:

MY grandson REALLY REALLY needs this blanket. He has struggled in public school for 4 years now. He is eight years old and has sensory problems and a severe anxiety disorder. Also a little ADD. Please help him as he needs this blanket for home. They finally got him one at school and it helps him so much on his breaks. Unfortunately, my daughter (his MOM) is going to school to become an OTA right now and she is out of money!! And I am out of work because of a disability. I really would love to win this for her and my grandson. I know it would be a real help to them both. Thank you.

  22. Jennifer Chambers says:

This would be excellent for my soon to be 8 year old that has ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder and Aspergers. He sometimes struggles to sleep and has difficulty calming down.

I’d love to try this out with my anxious 8 yr old son who has a difficult time calming down at bedtime. Would be great for using when he gets overstimulated during the day too!

  28. Meg says:

As an OT, I often recommend weighted blankets for kids with SPD related sleep issues. I’d love to have one to loan so that parents can try it before buying.

  29. Jennifer says:

Beautiful blankets. Hoping that this will help my son sleep better.

  30. Margaret Wan says:

I have a set of friends who got a little boy when he was almost a year old as a foster child and then they adopted him a year later. He is now 3 years old and they are having increasing problems with him from severe temper tantrums to not sleeping at night, and everything in between. They have taken him to the doctor and he has been put on some heavy duty drugs and those don’t work or make the behavior worse, so he’s off of most of them. He has been diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, and sesory problems to name a few things. They are trying everything they can think of to help their precious son. They feel like he has some undiagnosed problem and his mom is starting to think that he may have Asbergers. I was listening to a talk tonight by Temple Grandin and she briefly mentioned weighted blankets. It was like a light bulb went off for me, as I knew of someone who had one for their granddaughter. I looked up weighted blankets online tonight and read about them (and found your website). I truly feel like this would really help my friend’s little boy. I would love to win a weighted blanket as a surprise for them, as they are now going on months of lack of sleep both for him and them as well. I truly feel that this blanket would be an answer to their prayers to help calm their son and so they all can get some sleep at night as they try to find the proper help and treatment for him…as their financial resources are being drained as well. I hope that this deserving family will be considered and chosen as a winner of one of your weighted blankets…so they can experience the gift/miracle of sleep for their son and also for them and a calmer son who has sometimes asked his mom to “crush” him with a tight hug. Thank you for your consideration in helping me to help this family.

  32. I do agree with all of the ideas you’ve introduced on your post. They’re very convincing and can definitely work. Nonetheless, the posts are too short for starters. May you please lengthen them a little from next time? Thanks for the post.
